Artysta malarz, pedagog, naukowiec, doktor nauk humanistycznych, animator kultury, tutor, coach, wykładowca na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Łączy działalność artystyczną z naukowo-dydaktyczną. Ukończyła Gdańską Akademię Sztuk Pięknych oraz magisterskie studia pedagogiczne na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim, a następnie obroniła doktorat w 2009 roku. Zajmuje się głównie malarstwem, rysunkiem, fotografią i kolażem. Miała około 50 wystaw w kraju i za granicą. W swoich działaniach artystyczno-badawczych stara się łączyć aparaturę pojęciową sztuki i nauki udowadniając, że dziedziny te jedynie pozornie są od siebie odległe.
Napisała ponad 50 publikacji, których problematyka związana jest m.in. z pedagogiką, wychowaniem przez sztukę, edukacją artystyczną, semiotyką sztuki, komunikacją wizualną, edukacją medialną. Miała ponad 50 wystaw w kraju i za granicą. Odbyła liczne podróże, które przełożyły się na jej działania naukowo-artystyczne (np.: Mali, Burkina Faso, Rosja, Ameryka Południowa, Indie, Indonezja, USA, Mauritius, emiraty Arabskie i liczne kraje europejskie, takie jak: Turcja, Grecja, Chorwacja, Portugalia, Francja, Hiszpania, Włochy, Estonia, Litwa, Łotwa, Mołdawia, Niemcy, Szwecja, Austria, Czechy, Słowacja).
Prowadziła warsztaty plastyczne m.in. w Polsce, w Szwecji, w Turcji, w Niemczech, w Irlandii, na Ukrainie oraz w Portugalii. Winner of about 50 painting-exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She defended the doctorate under the title of “Meanings and the communications potential of pictures of six-year-old children”, in 2009 year. “By combining scientific research with artistic activity I prove these fields, apparently so distant from one another, in fact are not. I work both as anacademically leading re-searcher, writing publications, and as an artist, displaying paintings, photographies, making performances, building installations as well as designing didactical material. I find my inspiration in travelling, meeting different cultures and people. I have been traveling through India, Africa, Andaman Islands, Republic of Mali, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Carribean, Bali, and USA – searching for inspiring places, impressions, different signs and colors for my paintings. For me painting is a way of communication with others”.
